I’m 19 and have had a skin problem for two weeks. It’s very itchy, sometimes painful, and seems to be spreading. Areas affected: under my nose, near one eye, and under my lips.

I haven’t used Betnovate N cream because it contains steroids that can darken and weaken the skin. I’ve been using Vaseline instead.

I’ve attached an image of someone with a similar condition. Please advise how to treat it, how long it might take to heal, and why it’s happening.

this is a seborrheic dermatitis and cortisone is contraindicated, you can apply a sulfosalicyclic cream like MOST Crema 2 S in the evening
