Alex.MembroDear Dr. Marcello Monti!
Thanky you for very much for your support accorded. It looks that things goes much better for more than 1 month (I am in TSW from 1st of march 2020). It looks like I’m finally mentally well, and my skin condition start to be better. Unfortunately I am also itchy, especially during the night, but i hope it will stop till the end of TSW. I attached some photos which shows the difference. I have to mention that my skin especially on may arms is still unstable, but I see good progress in the general conditon.
I have a question regarding my legs. They begun to be itchy from ~2 month, and I scratch it very hard during the night. In my “previous life” unfrotunatelly I used not too much time cortison on my legs too. What should I do on my legs?
Un caro saluto,
Alex

DermaClub StaffAmministratore del forumDear Alex, I am glad to hear that you are doing better, now it is the last phase of the TSW treatment and you have to continue with KMnO4 washes and in the evening before going to sleep you can apply the Coal Tar cream to the areas that are still red and itchy, if you don’t have the Coal Tar cream I can send it from my studio. You have to apply very little with a lot of massage. Ciao. Prof. M. Monti

Alex.MembroDear Dr. Monti,
Thank you for the promising words. I have already purchased the psoriderm cream (6% distilled coal tar). Hope that is ok for me.
Un caro saluto,
Alex

DermaClub StaffAmministratore del forumPsoriderm cream is a good coal tar cream, you can try to apply it in the evening in some non-photo-exposed areas and if the result is good you can extend the application. If not let me know.

DermaClub StaffAmministratore del forumI have no experience with Psoriderm, I would like you to try the Coal Tar based on PEG Ointment, you can request it from my secretary ([email protected]) who sends it to you. Apply very little only in the evening and then report to me as it goes. It may be Psoriderm not good or you don’t tolerate Coal Tar.

Alex.MembroDear Dr. Monti,
Thank you for the coal tar. I see improovment from the first application. For me is more effective than Psoriderm cream, and smells better. If it is massaged well into the skin it will not dirty the clotes.
I would like to know your opinion about using nasal drops which contain hydrocortisone. Can it affect my TSW? My family doctor would like if I use it because my nose is clogged for more than 2 weeks. I tried other methods (classic nasal drops, menthol, eucalyptus, etc) but it is ineffective.
Thank you,
Alex

DermaClub StaffAmministratore del forumThanks for the feedback on Coal Tar ointment. For the problem of the nose use an oral antihistamine because cortisone is not indicated.

DermaClub StaffAmministratore del forumthe face is the last part that heals, never wet the face and apply PEG Ointment in the evening, Do not scratch and if you are in crisis apply the towel moistened with the Permanganthus solution on the face for 10 minutes

Alex.MembroThank you for your reply. It is very hard with the face, but I try not to scratch. I discover that on my hairy sclap I have also a lots of oozing wounds because of the scratching especially during the night. How should I handle it to prevent infection? Thank you! I would like also to inform you, and to ask if it is normally during TSW if I am itchy in areas (like abdomen chest, legs, back) where it can not be seen any other skin symptoms, (before TSW in these areas I used cream with cortisone only because of itching, I did not see any other skin problem )?

DermaClub StaffAmministratore del forumDear Alex, during the TSW the whole skin is in crisis even if the cortison is not applied. For the head avoid washing the hair and use the Permanganate solution and cotton cloth to clean hair. Now you can apply Extreme Emollient Ointment and no Coal Tar to your hands.
Novembre 10, 2020 alle 6:50 am #63988
Alex.MembroThank you! After I put the Extreme Emollient Ointment it looks red in the “cracks” of thickened skin, like in the photo.
The other thing what I woult like to tell you is that when I apply the towel with the solution of kmno4, in some parts of my skin I feel like it stings me until it dries. Why can this be?
Novembre 10, 2020 alle 11:19 am #63989
DermaClub StaffAmministratore del forumif you do not wet the skin even with the Permanganate solution and continue to apply Emollient Ointment to the hands, after the STW crisis it becomes soft again
